Lorenz Maycher plays Aeolian-Skinner Opus 1498 – 1968 First-Trinity Presbyterian Church, Laurel, Mississippi. Including two tracks recorded by A.G. Bowen in 1973. The Aeolian-Skinner organ at First-Trinity Presbyterian Church, Laurel, Mississippi is a masterpiece of design and tone, and was the final Aeolian-Skinner installation of legendary collaborators J. C. Williams and Roy Perry. Opus 1498 contains many of their trademarks, including an abundance of string tone, fiery reeds and mixtures, clean, colorful flues, and unlimited expression. Its versatility, as demonstrated by the wide variety of musical styles heard on the present recording, is a lasting testament to the genius and artistry of these men who conceived its design and carried out its tonal finishing. Complete play list: Tournemire – Improvisation sur le Te Deum; Davies, arr. Roy Perry – Solemn Melody; recorded by A. G. Bowen in 1973. Coke-Jephcott – Improvisation on an Irish Air; Bach – Prelude in C Major, BWV 547; Bach, arr. Roy Perry – Adagio Cantabile; Handel – Concerto in F Major, Op. 4, #5; Dubois – Cantilène Religieuse; Dickinson – Andante Serioso; McAmis – Dreams; Callahan – The Kilgore Suite (Prelude on "Jewels," Meditation on "Bradbury," Variations on "Holy Manna"); Sowerby – Prelude on “Non Nobis, Domine.” Recorded by Lorenz Maycher, October 17, 2007.
